Contentment Brings Peaces

When the Tao is present, peace prevails; when it is lost, conflict arises. Ambition and discontent breed suffering. The sage knows that true wealth lies in contentment — having enough, always.

Contentment Brings Peaces

When the Tao is followed in the world,
war horses are put to work pulling carts of compost.

When the Tao is forgotten,
war horses breed at the borders.

No greater fault
than the hunger for more.

To know contentment
is to have enough —
always,
and in all things.
