The Quiet Presence
The Tao nourishes all things without seeking credit or control. Present in both the vast and the small, it acts silently and without ego. The sage mirrors this, achieving greatness by remaining humble.

The Great Tao flows everywhere —
to the left and to the right.
All things arise from it,
yet it does not claim them.
It gives life,
but does not control.
It guides all things silently.
It wraps them like a garment,
yet makes no claim to be their master.
You can find it in the smallest things.
You can find it in the greatest.
Everything returns to it,
yet nothing realises
it is the source.
Because the sage follows the Tao,
he accomplishes great things
without making himself great.
